We took over the business in 2016 and are so excited to bring the Prouse name into this next chapter of its well-known reputation.
In 2022 we were voted the best electrical contractor in Tillsonburg. We’ve had the opportunity to work on a few large-scale building projects in the area- such as the John Pound Apartments, Port Dover Apartments, and the Simcoe Toyota plant. We’re experienced in servicing the farming community and dryer systems throughout the Tri Counties. Part of our mission has been to provide training and opportunities for apprentices in all 3 trades, in order to help the next generation of trade professionals grow.
We decided to explore the idea of turning into a full-time supplier after seeing the local need for materials that was taking contractors and home builders outside of the area in order to source what they needed to complete their jobs. That’s why we took on this rebrand of the company to create a space and resource for all the other contractors and home renovators in the area.
With an education background in both Accounting and Design Jaime worked outside of the family business for many years enhancing her skills and gaining the knowledge she knew she would need to step into the role she has today. Knowing that her parents wanted to retire together to enjoy some travel and several golf courses she was ready to take the reins and dove in head first.
Jaime has a desire to stay current and doesn’t mind shaking things up in order to do so. She believes in the team at Prouse and sets them up for success in their roles through utilizing their strengths and creating streamlined processes within the company.
Jaime’s passionate about this new adventure they are taking the company on. As the third generation she is determined to set the bar even higher to ensure sustainability, she is hopeful that the 4th generation may take it even further.
Jaime and her husband Michael have two beautiful children and a pretty handsome Bull Terrier named Max. They enjoy spending time on their boat, fishing Lake Erie. Sneaking in a round of golf when they can and of course walking their dog Max. Jaime is really looking forward to a life of travel as her bucket list continues to grow.
Jaime is truly grateful to her father and grandfather for laying a strong foundation that she together with Joel can build upon.
When Joel was in high school, he began his apprenticeship with Prouse Electric. Juggling school; his social life and many sports, Joel engaged with his natural abilities around the tools and appreciated the opportunity to work in the trenches with the team at Prouse Electric. Some of his favourite memories are those early days where he learned the true meaning of hard work and comradery.
Joel earned his 309A Electrical Ticket. Working as an electrician came naturally to Joel and he loved (still does) the challenge of designing, problem solving and later teaching. Joel went on to obtain his Industrial ticket along with his Masters. Later in his career he continued his education and obtained his G3 (Gasfitters).
Passionate about teaching, Joel has always enjoyed watching the motivated young people come into the workforce and help them discover their passion and use their talents to build a career in this ever-important industry.
With Joel’s experience of being the contractor for the past 25 years he is really looking forward to providing quality service to the contractors striving to have what they need when they need it.
Joel and his wife Jodi have been together for 20 years. Building a beautiful life together with 2 children they enjoy watching them grow and explore the great outdoors. Joel loves spending time outside riding with his family, he is passionate about teaching his kids and their friends the importance of safety while having a really great time, this has come to be known as Joel’s JR Riders. A true family man, Joel is looking forward to having more time to enjoy life’s greatest gifts with his family and friends.
